Doris “Mammy” D. Hill of Franklin peacefully departed this life on her 60th wedding anniversary, Nov. 23, 2012, to be reunited with her predeceased husband, Roy C. Hill.

She is survived by her four children, Patricia Howell and her husband William “Winky,” Carson Hill and his wife, Sharon, Keith Hill, and his wife Kelly, and Wayne Hill, and his wife, Christine; grandchildren Arick Hill, who is away proudly serving our country, Wendy Whitehead, Lindsay Hill, Tiffany Fancher, Cameron Hill, Stephen Hill, Greg Hill, Roy Hill, Nicholas Macleod, Robert Macleod and Kayleigh Macleod; numerous great-grandchildren; four sisters Glenn Taylor, Mae Whitmore, Sandra Cook, Joyce Buhls; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by a sister, Minnie Lankford.

A memorial service was held at Franklin Congregational Christian Church on Nov. 27, 2012. The Rev. Jim Hyatt officiated.
