VIRGINIA BEACH—Hazel Hilliard Owens, 83, diedy Nov. 22, 2012.

A Southampton County native, Mrs. Owens was a retired seamstress from Navette Clothing Shop.

She is survived by her husband, David Owens; children Marie Yelton, Gloria Howard, Clara Saunders, Raymond Stith, Roy Hilliard and Leo Hilliard; sisters, Ruth Lewis, Cornelia Stith and Barbara Greene; brothers, Earl, Alvin, Charles and Curtis Stith.

A funeral will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at New Jerusalem COGIC, 118 Bishop Thoroughgood Ave., Virginia Beach. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Beach Funeral Services.
