COURTLAND—Sharon Elaine Hanna Lowe, 59, passed away November 10, 2012, at Portsmouth Naval Hospital after a long illness.

Born in Ft. Benning, Ga., she was a daughter of the late Earnest Lee Hanna and Ruby Cook Hanna Chambers and was also predeceased by two brothers, Donald Hanna and Wayne Hanna.

She was a Program Support Technician with Greensville Correctional Center and a graduate from John Tyler Community College.

Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Larry W. Lowe; two daughters, Michelle Renae Kanney of Skippers, Va., and Rachael Lynn Bailey of Courtland; son, Daniel “Danny” West Lowe and his wife Becky of Boykins; sister, Janet Brooks of Courtland; four brothers, Gerald Hanna of California, Cecil Hanna of Carson, Va., Cad Chambers of South Carolina and Tommy Chambers of Newport News; six grandchildren, Lauren Lumpkin, Kyle Kirchoffer, Tyler Kirchoffer, Samantha Sawyer, and Dougie and Christopher Bailey; two great-grandchildren, Hailee Lumpkin and Jr. Sawyer; and several nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, Ryan Brooks.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, with the Rev. Kenneth Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Capron Cemetery.
