FRANKLIN—George K. Steinbach, 104, passed away November 8, 2012.

Mr. Steinbach was a native of Tomahawk, Wis., and was a son of the late Charles and Anna Wagner Steinbach.

He was predeceased by his wife of 77 years, Frances Kershaw Steinbach, who passed away June 2, 2008, and seven siblings and a son-in-law, Marvin W. Williams Jr.

Mr. Steinbach was a member of Franklin Congregational Christian Church and was retired as Pulp Mill Superintendent and Wood Yard Superintendent for Union Camp Corp., retiring in 1973.

Survivors include two daughters, Georgia S. Williams and Shirlie S. Camp and husband William; one son, Roger K. Steinbach and wife Ann; eight grandchildren, Susan Burgess and husband Neal, Ann Taylor and husband Dale, George Williams and wife Cindy, Carrie Camp and husband Tom Crowder, Holly Camp, Edith Camp, Billy Camp and wife Cammie, Karen Eades and husband Bert, and Julie Blake and husband Rob; 19 great-grandchildren; five great-great grandsons; and four very special friends, Mary, Sally, Irene and Evelyn.

A graveside service was conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday November 11, 2012, at Poplar Spring Cemetery with the Rev. James H. Hyatt Jr. officiating.
