FRANKLIN—The undefeated Franklin Broncos will host the Covington Cougars at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16, for the second round of the Virginia High School League Group A Division 1 Eastern section playoffs.

Franklin’s football team is the No. 1 seed of the Eastern section playoffs with an 11-0 overall record and is coming off 56-9 Friday victory over Craig County in the first round of the playoffs.

The Cougars come in as the No. 9 seed with a 6-5 overall record and upset No. 8 seed Rappahannock 51-28 on Friday night.

The Broncos have outscored their opponents 608-154 this season, while the Cougars have outscored their opponents 332-274.
