DREWRYVILLE—A Drewryville man has been arrested for allegedly raping a 6-year-old in the Adams Grove area in May, the Southampton County Sheriff’s Office reported.

Kelvin Marshall Jackson, 47, was charged with two counts each of rape, forcible sodomy and aggravated sexual battery, said Major Gene Drewery.

Investigators in September received a complaint about the alleged incident.

The victim’s mother was an acquaintance of Jackson.

Jackson was taken to the county jail without bond, Drewry said.
