COURTLAND—Lambda Psi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority is sponsoring a Teen Dating Violence Forum at 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, at Southampton Middle School.

The free program is part of a nationwide initiative called Choose Respect, an effort by the Centers of Disease Control and the Virginia Department of Health to help youth ages 11 to 14 form healthy relationships and prevent dating abuse.

The program will include a video presentation, role-playing and discussion with facilitators from Virginia State University’s Breaking the Silence organization.

Bring old cell phones to be donated to the Battered Women’s Shelter for recycling.
