PORTSMOUTH—Mildred Evelyn Hicks Haskins, 79, died Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012, at Bon Secours Maryview Nursing Care Center in Portsmouth.

A service will be held at noon Thursday, Oct. 18, at New Mount Joy Food for Living Ministries. Burial will be in Mt. Tabor COGIC Cemetery.

A native of Southampton County, Mrs. Haskins is survived locally by a brother, Henry Hicks of Ivor.

Shivers Funeral Chapel, Smithfield, is handling arrangements.
