Ella M. Warren

COURTLAND—Mrs. Ella M. Warren, 94, of Corinth Road, Ivor, Va., departed this life on October 9, 2012, in Courtland, Va.

She was born April 10, 1918, to Clinton and Irma C. Scott Banks in Southampton County, Va.

Mrs. Warren was married to Lee Andrew Warren Sr.

She was a member of Beulahland A.M.E. Zion Church, where she served as a member of the Senior Choir, Missionary Society, and Willing Workers Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sons, Jentle Lee Warren and William E. Warren; daughter, Louise Warren; five brothers; and two sisters.

She is survived by three sons, Edward L. Warren Sr. (Feddie Mae), James E. Warren (Odell) and Herbert Warren, all of Boston, Mass.; one sister, Gracie Byrd, Sedley, Va.; 17 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and cousins.

A homegoing celebration will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 20, 2012, at Move of God Church, 221 S. Main St., Franklin, Va., with Reverend Joseph Whitney delivering the eulogy; Apostle Tyrone Hart is pastor.

The interment will be in Beulahland Church Cemetery.

A visitation will be held on Friday 7-9 p.m. at Move of God Church.

A traditional service with dignity will be conducted by Wm. M. Johnson & Sons, Inc., 224 S. Main St., Franklin, Va.
