SA loses three to Christchurch

Christchurch—Southampton Academy’s volleyball team lost to non-conference foe Christchurch School 3-0 on Tuesday.
Set scores were 25-12, 25-21, 25-12.
The Lady Raiders fell to 8-3 overall.
Junior Katelyn Newsome had 8 kills. Junior Brooke Whitley had 5 kills. Junior Kelsey Whitehead had 12 assists and senior Whitley Smith added 10 assists.
“We played pretty good,” said Southampton Academy Coach Frank Seal. “But they were all around a good team with three good hitters, and it’s just hard to defend three good hitters.”
SA at 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 15, will host Richmond Christian.
