Arnether “Arlethia” Ricks Brown of 13581 Jerusalem Plank Road, Waverly, died Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012.

A funeral will be held noon Saturday, Oct. 6, at Triumph In Victory Christian Center, 207 County Drive, Wakefield. Burial will follow in the Hamlin Hill Family Cemetery, Sedley.

A Southampton County native, Mrs. Brown was a nurse at Southampton Memorial Hospital for 30 years.

She is survived by her children, Margarita Winfield and Larry Brown, both of Waverly, Pecolia Ponder of Hopewell, Janice Jordan of Dinwiddie, Shelia Fleming of Glen Allen, Sidney Brown Jr. of Memphis and Tammy Wilson of Baltimore; and siblings Agnes Brown of Disputanta, and Ruth Acree, Virginia Granger and Richard Ricks, all of Baltimore.
