Windsor beats Franklin in three sets

WINDSOR—Windsor defeated visiting Franklin 3-0 during a Thursday Tri-Rivers District volleyball match.

Set scores were 25-11, 25-13, 25-19.

For the winners, Jessica Blythe had 23 assists and Kellie Matthews led in kills with six. Allison Griggs was 12/12 serving with four aces and four kills. Matthews was 14/14 serving with seven aces. MaCayla Sevais was 12/13 serving with six aces.

Leading Franklin were junior Aerial Darden with two aces and two blocks. Senior Asya Lee had five blocks and four tips.

“Sophomore Briana Karmilovich had some nice saving sets over the net,” said Franklin Coach Erica Smith-Ingram. “The Lady Broncos fought hard in the second game of the match, leading Windsor by seven points before the momentum changed.”

The Lady Broncos dropped to 0-2 in the district.

Windsor improved to 2-0 I the district and 5-5 overall.
