Heritage Day 2012 was a huge success

To the Editor:

Many thanks to each of you who helped make the 19th annual Heritage Day at the Agriculture & Forestry Museum a huge success.

About 2,000 people came to learn about our heritage, socialize with friends, eat good food and have a great time.

Over 130 Ag Museum members and friends worked hard to make this happen.

You may not know it, but this event is run entirely by volunteers.

Thank you to the visitors, volunteers, vendors, musicians, Boy and Girl Scouts, crafters, those who brought antique cars, tractors and engines, heritage craft demonstrators, advertisers, newspaper, radio stations and everyone else who lent a hand.

Next year, on Sept. 14, we will have our 20th Heritage Day.

Planning has already started to make this our best one yet. Thanks again — and y’all come!
