EMPORIA—Marvin Owes Stith, 51, of Emporia died at his home on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012.

A wake will be held 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, at Engram Funeral Home in Franklin. A funeral will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 28, at Pleasant Plain Baptist Church in Drewryville.

A Southampton County native, Mr. Stith was a supervisor at Boars Head in Jarratt for 30 years.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanette; and sons Travis Stith of Norfolk, Marvin Stith of Utah and LaMarvis Barnes of Waverly.
