COURTLAND—Three people received minor injuries when the driver of a tractor-trailer rear-ended the driver of a car transporting a student at 6:20 a.m. Friday on Route 58, said Major Gene Drewery with the Southampton County Sheriff’s Office.

All were taken to Southampton Memorial Hospital, Drewery said.

The crash occurred near Buckhorn Quarter Road in part of the construction zone between Courtland and Capron.

The car belongs to Southampton County Public Schools for transporting special needs students.
