FRANKLIN—Brian Cooke received the Jackson Clarke Fox Merit Badge Achievement Award for earning the most merit badges with Franklin Boy Scout Troop 17 during the past year.

Brian, the son of Eric and Dianne Cooke, earned 10 badges. He is a Life Scout.

The Fox Family sponsors the award in memory of Jackson Fox, 13, who died in a car accident on Route 35 in Sebrell while returning from a camping trip on Nov. 5, 2006, along with scouts Carter Stephenson, 14, and Luke Drewry, 12, and Assistant Scout Master John Oliver, 43.
