CHESAPEAKE—Willie Joe Sebrell Jr., 78, died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012, at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Sebrell was a lifelong resident of Isle of Wight and Southampton counties and retired from James River Mechanical in Smithfield.

He is survived by his children, Nancy Sebrell and Faye Phipps, both of Norfolk, Matilda Adams of Florida, Andrea Gaines of Virginia Beach and Willamena Sebrell of Portsmouth; sisters Catherine Brown and Rosa Mae Ricks, both of Courtland, and Ida Mae Green of Sedley; and brothers, Reggie Lee Sebrell of Waverly and Lloyd Sebrell of Courtland.
