FRANKLIN—Franklin police as of Monday had not received an estimate for a police cruiser damaged in a Sept. 6 crash on Route 58 near the South Street exit, said Lt. Tim Whitt.

“The adjuster has not come to the body shop to determine whether it’s fixable or not,” Whitt said.

The officer, who was not identified, was responding to a possible suicide at the Comfort Inn on Armory Drive when the 2010 cruiser hydroplaned on water and hit a concrete barrier, Whitt said.

The officer was treated at Southampton Memorial Hospital.
