SUFFOLK—Theo Vealan Thorne, 90, of Suffolk died September 6, 2012.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 10, 2012, at Woodland United Methodist Church Cemetery. Friends may join the family from 3 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory.

Born in Surry County, Mr. Thorne was retired from Hodge Trucking Co.

He is survived by a daughter, Betty Billups of Irving, Texas; and a son, Michael Lee Thorne of Elberon.
