IVOR—Ruby Lucille Crawford Shirah, 86, of Ivor died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, at R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home and Crematory, Wakefield Chapel, 11414 General Mahone Highway. Burial will follow at a later date at St. Andrew Lutheran Church Cemetery in South Carolina.

Mrs. Shirah retired from Chesapeake Public School System and worked at Autumn Care in Chesapeake.

She is survived by daughters, Barbara Stone and Charlene Chittum; and sons, Donald and George Shirah.
