Doris P. Renno, 97, of Martinsville, formerly of Weems, Va., a resident of Kings Grant Retirement Community, died Aug. 31, 2012.

Doris was born February 3, 1915, in Washington, D.C., and was predeceased by her husband, Roy R. Renno, a previous husband, Tarleton S. Bean, and a granddaughter, Lanie King.

Surviving are a daughter, Lane Meredith (Robert) of Franklin, Va.; two granddaughters, Lynn Robertson and Leigh Schwartz (Jeff); two step-granddaughters, Nikki Freeland and Allyn Meredith; one step-grandson, Benjamin Meredith (Andi); and numerous great-grandchildren.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 5, at 1 p.m. at the Campbell Memorial Presbyterian Church cemetery in Weems, Va. The family will receive friends at the Currie Funeral Home, 116 East Church Street, Kilmarnock, Va., from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service.
