Isle of Wight still getting it wrong

To the Editor:

The Isle of Wight County Board of Supervisors’ newly elected supervisors already need to be replaced.

All Isle of Wight County knows how to do is spend money and raise taxes (“IOW residents may face tax increase,” Aug. 19). After a staggering, crippling 25 percent tax increase, they now want yet another four-cent increase.

Where does it stop?

One week they say they need $5 million for the school, then the next

week they have $5 million to build a building for an ambulance and $460,000 for iPads that will be stolen and broken the first month; $460,000 could employ a lot of good teachers and buy books.

Instead of making cuts and more cuts like we have to do every time they raise our taxes, we have to cut more, and with “Obamanomics,” inflation is killing us all financially.
