FRANKLIN—A Southampton Meadows Mobile Home Park resident was not hurt after someone broke into his home at 3:30 a.m. Tuesday and fired a shot, the Southampton County Sheriff’s Office reported.

The suspect allegedly kicked in the front door of the home in the 31000 block of Carter Street. The resident ran out the back door when he heard the gunshot, the sheriff’s office reported.

Nothing was taken, and there are no suspects.
