PORTSMOUTH—John D. Davis Sr., 89, died Aug. 14, 2012, at his home.

A funeral service will be held noon Tuesday, Aug. 21, at First Church of God on Granby Street in Norfolk. Burial will be at the Haywood Family Cemetery in Sedley.

Mr. Davis was pastor at Church of God in Boykins for 13 years.

He is survived by daughters Shelby Davis-Myers and Barbara Davis Parker; and a son, Calvin Davis.

Fisher Funeral Home in Portsmouth is handling arrangements.
