SUFFOLK—John A. Joe Sr., 81, of Suffolk died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2012, at his home.

A funeral service will be held 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug.19, at Tabernacle Christian Church. Interment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery. A wake will be held 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 18.

A native of Nansemond County, he owned Joe’s Burial Vault Services for 33 years.

Locally, he is survived by daughters Melody Joe of Wakefield and Sharon Artis of Waverly.

Crocker Funeral Home is handling arrangements
