FRANKLIN—Seven felony drug suspects were arrested Friday in an ongoing undercover operation, Franklin Police Lt. Tim Whitt said.

Arrested from Franklin were Quentin Antonio Goodwyn, 32, of 231 Bracey St., and Wayne “Gill Baby” Allen Thomas, 54, of 217 Stonewall St., with one count of selling and distributing cocaine; James Waverly Turner Jr., 58, of 301 Madison St. and Phillip Edward Wiggins, 49, of 313 Council Road, with two counts of selling and distributing cocaine; Dale “Red” Armand Cannady, 30, of 443 Bruce St., one count of selling and distributing imitation controlled substance; and Christine Margosiak Tillery, 43, of 983 Pretlow St., one count of selling and distributing heroin.

Also charged were Michael K. “Unci” James, 50, of Portsmouth with one count of selling and distributing cocaine and heroin; and Michael Alan Porter, 31, of 23543 Thomaston Road, Newsoms, two counts of selling and distributing cocaine.

Whitt said all of the alleged drug sales took place in Franklin, although he would not confirm if they were undercover buys.

“It was done through undercover investigative techniques,” he said. “The investigation is still ongoing so I’d rather not say (much more).”

No drugs were found during the roundup of suspects and arrests were made without any incidents.

The arrests were part of a continuing narcotics investigation by the FBI Safe Streets Peninsula Task Force, Whitt said.

The effort has led to the arrest of several suspects for the distribution of illegal drugs in Franklin.
