WELDON, N.C.—Southampton County native Alvin Jones, 62, of Weldon, N.C., died Sunday, July 29, 2012, at Vidant Edgecombe Hospital in Tarboro, N.C.

A viewing will be held 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, at Faison’s Funeral Home in Seaboard, N.C. No funeral will be held.
