FRANKLIN—Eldon Allen Bell Sr., 89, passed away July 23, 2012.

Born in Timmonsville, S.C., he was a son of the late Eldon Romaine Bell and Bessie Welch Bell.

Mr. Bell was predeceased by his wife, Pauline “Polly” Hubbard Bell; and three sisters, Frankie Shinn, Sylvia Kishel and Carol Walters.

He retired as a shipping clerk from the roll finishing department of Union Camp after 27 years of service and was a former member of Franklin Presbyterian Church.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Paula Bell Bridgers and husband, Jimmy, of Conway, N.C.; three sons, Eldon Alan Bell Jr. and wife, Ellen, of Manteo, N.C., Robert Stephen Bell, and Jonathan David Bell and wife, Mary Evelyn, of Sterling, Va.; three sisters, Doloris B. Graver and husband, Jim, of Delaware, Lib B. Teddar of SC and Flick Cannon of Wilmington, N.C.; a brother, Jerry Bell of Raleigh, N.C.; seven grandchildren, Dale Bridgers, Amy Futrell, Jesse Bridgers, Matthew and Katelyn Bell, Christopher Bell, Jeff Kidder and Erica Ricottilli; and three great-grandchildren, Morgan Elizabeth Futrell, and Faith and Hannah Ricottilli.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 27, 2012, at Poplar Spring Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, July 26, 2012, at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin from 6 to 8 p.m. and suggests in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to a favorite charity. www.wrightfuneralhome.org.
