Mr. and Mrs. Oscar R. McClenny Jr. of Franklin would like to announce the engagement of their daughter, Anne Marie, to Brandon Eugene Kelly.

The bride-to-be is the maternal granddaughter of the late Benjamin Charles and Ann Thomlin Gray, and the paternal granddaughter of the late Oscar Redell and Johnnie Mae McClenny Jr. All lived in Courtland.

She is a graduate of Virginia Tech and Liberty University, where she earned a master’s degree in human services and executive leadership. She is an education services facilitator with Zeiders Enterprises Inc. in Norfolk.

Her future husband is the son of Clyde E. and Linda Brinkley Kelly Jr. of Suffolk.

He is the maternal grandson of the late William Lee Brinkley and Marjorie D. Brinkley. They had lived in Suffolk. He is the step-grandson of Benjamin R. Copeland Jr. of Suffolk. He is the paternal grandson of Clyde Eugene and Virginia B. Kelly of Ocean Springs, Miss.

He earned an associate degree in computer-aided drafting and design from Tidewater Community College and is a designer for the reactor plant planning yard with Huntington Ingalls Industries in Newport News.

The couple will marry on Oct. 20, 2012, at Hunterdale Baptist Church in Franklin.
