Spencer Peele, 75, passed away July 17, 2012, in Suffolk.

A funeral will be held 11 a.m. today, July 20, at R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home and Crematory in Suffolk. Burial was in the Ahoskie Cemetery in North Carolina.

Mr. Peele was a retired mechanic for the City of Suffolk and a firefighter for the city for 10 years.

Local survivors include a son, John Peele, and a sister, Julia Jernigan, both of Franklin.
