MURFREESBORO, N.C.—The Rev. Oliver Winstead “Wint” Hale Jr., 69, of Murfreesboro, N.C., died Tuesday, July 10, 2012, at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, July 14, at Cashie Baptist Church in Windsor, N.C. Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery.

Mr. Hale served many churches in eastern North Carolina.

Survivors include a wife, Phyllis Spring Hale; a daughter, Helen Hale Lassiter of Windsor; and sons Otho William Hale of Pendleton, N.C., and Joseph Allen Hale of Murfreesboro.

Walker Funeral Home in Windsor handled arrangements.
