Woman thankful for help since suffering injury

To the Editor:

I am writing to say that there are good people in the world.

Since I have had so many health problems, many people have helped me. I offer a special thank-you to Franklin Baptist Church for building me a handicapped ramp, especially Harold Burkett, David Drewery, Holt Livesay, Donnie Wade and Howard Boone.

For the cards and good wishes, I really appreciate them. They lifted my spirits.

To the therapists at Tidewater Physical Therapy that have worked with me for 16 months, I love you all.

The only complaint I have is to those who are not handicapped, but who use the designated stalls in the public restrooms.

I am grateful to individuals who have helped me. First, the man at Duke Hospital who held an umbrella over my husband and me in the pouring rain.

Second, the man who picked me up when I fell at the Franklin Walmart. I don’t think I thanked you. If you would call me at 617-9544, I would be happy if you could so I can thank you personally.

For all the people who have so patiently waited for me to cross the street, I thank you. Again, I appreciate everything that you have done for me.
