Former Franklin resident Holly Hobbs Shen has completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Emory University in Atlanta.

Shen earned her bachelor’s degree in biology at Old Dominion University and completed her medical degree at the University of Sint Eustatius School of Medicine in the Dutch West Indes.

She will work for Premier OB/GYN of Manatee in Lakewood Ranch, Fla.

Shen and her husband, Allen, have a daughter, Elia.
