A mother and son from Franklin reported missing Thursday were found safe at a friend’s house in Suffolk, according to Franklin Polce.

Shatonya Granger Pope, 29, and Jayleen Granger, 11, left a residence at 578 Laurel Street at noon Wednesday after Granger and her husband got into an argument, according to a statement.

Franklin Police tracked Pope to a residence on Briggs Street and notified Suffolk Police to confirm the location and condition, according to the statement.
