To the Editor:

Well here we go again.

I am writing about the tipping fee for the people in Southampton County that can’t and don’t want it.

I drive 10 miles a week to the dump to get rid of my trash, but now I have to pay $200 a year to do that. It just doesn’t make any sense to me.

I can afford it, but there are people who can’t do it, and with Christmas that near, it makes it even worse.

We want people to come to Southampton to live and work, but do you think they will with a bill like that? I don’t think so.

There are some ways that could help, and I think you all should go back to the drawing board and come up with something better than this idea. Come on and give us a break, and help us stay on our feet.

It will be hard for a lot of people. Think about it. We need our money for other things, not for dumping our trash.
