FRANKLIN—Debbie Daughtery, owner of New Life Resale Boutique on 111 E. Second Ave. in downtown Franklin, is now providing a drop-off for Zoots dry cleaning.

Zoots has 11 stores in Virginia, including Great Bridge, Newport News, Kempsville and Chesapeake.

Zoots offers dry cleaning in as little as two days, and shoe and handbag repair, and alterations in a week or so. Clothing is picked up at 5 p.m. for cleaning or repair.

Daughtery said she has received a surprising amount of business from word-of-mouth and by handing out fliers.

She learned about the opportunity from the wife of a Zoots employee who was shopping in Daugherty’s consignment store. She overheard the woman saying that Zoots was looking for a drop-off point. Daughtery expressed an interest in the venture.

New Life Resale Boutique has been in Franklin for four years and at the downtown location for about six months and sells women’s clothes and accessories.

New Life Resale Boutique and the Zoots drop-off are open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and can be reached at 562-4652.
