BOYKINS—Southampton County native Vernon Lee Scott, 79, of Boykins died Sunday, May 27, 2012.

The funeral was held May 31.

Scott is survived by his wife, Ruth, and children Ronnie Scott, Gloria Scott-Parker and Eric Scott.

Keith Matthews Funeral Home in Norfolk handled arrangements.
