CARRSVILLE—Mary Anne Darden, 64, passed away May 30, 2012.

Born December 19, 1947, in Franklin, Va.,, she was a daughter of the late James Clayton “Boots” Darden and Daisy Carr Darden and was a member of Colosse Baptist Church.

Anne served in the Army during the Vietnam era and was a registered nurse at Norfolk General Hospital for 30 years.

Left to cherish her memory are her sister, Norma Darden Padgett of Lawrenceville, Ga.; her brother, James Larry Darden and his wife, Kathy of Carrsville; nieces and nephews, Tracy Padgett, Kelly Padgett, Clay Darden (Courtney), Andrew Darden and Mary Catherine Darden; great nephew, Blake Darden; special cousin, Ed Johnson; special friend, Brenda Parks; and aunts, an uncle and numerous cousins.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 2, 2012, at Colosse Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Tim Webb officiating. The family will receive friends at the home of Larry and Kathy Darden at 4434 Joyners Bridge Road, Carrsville, and suggest memorials be made to the American Diabetes Association or your local American Cancer Society. www.wrightfuneralhome.org.
