COURTLAND—A Franklin man will serve four years in prison for selling cocaine.

Robert Earl Spruill, 51, of 2005 South St. was one of eight people arrested in January 2011 for selling cocaine or heroin to undercover agents.

Also during his recent sentencing at the Southampton County Circuit Court, a judge ordered Spruill to pay $1,830 in court costs and $40 for restitution. He got five years probation, was recommended for a drug treatment program and lost his driver’s license for six months.
