Cornelius H. Duff

SUFFOLK—Cornelius H. Duff, 75, passed away May 2, 2012, at Consulate Health Care in Windsor, Va.

He was predeceased by his parents Mary Grice and Herbert L. Duff.

He was an avid model airplane builder and flyer, and taught RCA flying lessons at Chuckatuck International RCA Model Airport.

He was a retired farmer and also worked at The Chippokes Plantation as an interpreter for the Farm and Forestry Museum.

Mr. Duff is survived by his loving wife, Annie Lee Duff of Chuckatuck, Va.; children Herbert H. Duff and Amy Butler of Smithfield, Va., Annah Duff Bowen and husband Stephen of Burkeville, Va., and Lee Bunkley Duff and Lauren Haggard of Garfield, Ark.; grandchildren Grace and husband Greg Dooley, Cody, Morgan, Tyler Bowen and Dalton Butler; great-grandchildren Ainsley and David Dooley; brother Herbert L. Duff and wife, Marian, of Burlington, N.C.; stepsister Betty H. Clarke; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held Saturday, May 5, 2012, at 3:30 p.m. at Wesley Chapel UMC, 220 Kings Highway, Suffolk, with visitation one hour prior to the service.

Burial followed at the Old St. Luke’s Cemetery in Smithfield, Va.

R. W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home and Crematory, 509 W. Washington St., Suffolk, served the family.
