COURTLAND—A Virginia Beach man serving 12 years for selling drugs was found dead at 6 a.m. Friday at the Southampton County Jail.

The death of Grant A. Gordon, 41, is being investigated, said Major Gene Drewery with the Sheriff’s Office. The cause of death is pending the medical examiner’s report.
