Anna Terriciano Stephenson

WAKEFIELD-Anna Terriciano Stephenson, age 88, a resident of Wakefield, Virginia, died peacefully on May 5, 2012 in her home, joyfully going to be with her Lord and Savior and reunited with her beloved husband.

She was joined in marriage to John Howard Stephenson, Jr. on Jan. 18, 1948 and they shared 60 years together until his death on Dec. 16, 2008. Born on Apr. 4, 1924 in Boston MA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph & Angelina Serignano Terriciano.

She is survived by a son, John Howard Stephenson III and his wife Jane, and their children Ryan Karp, John Howard IV, Willis M. and Iris Ann Stephenson Williams and her husband J; a daughter Cheryl S. Patterson and her husband Pat and their children Angela (& husband Adam), and Joseph; a daughter Pamela Stephenson and her son Christopher; a son Joseph A. Stephenson and his children Ryan and Marianna; a son Lewis M. Stephenson and his wife Jeanne and their daughter Annie Michelle; a daughter Mary Carol Wayner and her husband David; a daughter Sandra S. Spain and her children Samantha and Michael; a son Charles D. Stephenson and his wife Diane and their children Tyler, Shea, Quinn and Carsyn; six great-grandchildren; Mackenzie, Chandler, Maxine, Jackson, Alyssa, & Dominic; a loving sister, Jean T. Driggers; a devoted daughter-in-law, Carol Baicy Stephenson; sister-in-laws, Morris Griffin and Josephine Stephenson; and many special friends including Eunice Britt and Christine Laine.

Anna was a much-loved and respected member of the Wakefield community and a humble friend and confidant to many. She was a founding member of the Shrine of the Infant Jesus of Prague Catholic Church, Wakefield and dedicated servant to the church throughout her life. She was past president of the Wakefield Women’s Club.

A Christian Wake will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, May 7, 2012, at J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home in Wakefield followed by a visitation for family and friends. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at 2 p.m. at the Shrine of the Infant Jesus of Prague Catholic Church in Wakefield, by Father Charles Saglio. A private burial will follow at the Stephenson Family Farm Cemetery near Wakefield.

Memorial donations in Anna’s memory may be made to the Shrine of the Infant Jesus of Prague and mailed c/o St. Jude Catholic Church, 1014 Clay Street, Franklin VA 23851.
