FRANKLIN—For a third year in a row, a Franklin High School student has received a Gates Millennium Scholarship, Superintendent Dr. Michelle Belle told the Franklin School Board Thursday.
Roy Boyd is this year’s recipient.
“I look at it as we have the students’ best interests at heart,” Belle said. “We raise the bar and our students rise to the occasion.”
The scholarship will provide full tuition to Boyd to any college or university through graduate school.
FHS’ Conya Postell received the award last year, while Shaleetta Hicks won it in 2010.
