PETERSBURG—The Franklin soccer team lost 4-0 to Tri-Rivers District opponent Appomattox Regional Governor’s School in Petersburg on Friday.

Franklin dropped to 1-1 in the district.

“They were better skilled than us and a little better prepared,” said Franklin Coach Brandon Ivey.

The Governor’s School last year defeated the Broncos 10-0 and 8-1.

Franklin hosted Windsor on Tuesday. Results were not available as of press time.
