IVOR—Betty Lou Jones, 65, of Ivor passed away on Sunday, April 22, 2012, at her home.

Born in Portsmouth, she was the daughter of the late Erven E. and Marie Vankesteren Henderson.

She was a member of the Ivor Rescue Squad for more than 20 years, secretary for Ivor Baptist Vacation Bible School and prepared income taxes for several years. Also, Betty and her husband owned Blackwater Homes.

She is survived by her husband, Randolph “Lucky” Jones Sr.; her children, Kenny Power and wife, Kim, Cheryl Power Cook and husband, Sam, David Power and wife, Jaime, Tanya Barbour and husband, Mike, and Cathy Jeffrey and husband Steve; step-children, Randolph Jones Jr. and wife, Janice and Sandy K. Jones; grandchildren, Brandon and Devin Cook, D.J., Haleigh, Andrew, Landon and Brandi Power, Gabby Jeffrey, Marissa, Maddie, Tiffany Jones, and Josh Whisenant; brother, Wayne Henderson; and sister, Nancy Carter.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at 1 p.m. at the Wakefield Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home with Steve Gupton officiating. The family will receive friends after the service at the home, 39423 Broadwater Rd., Ivor, Va., 23866.
