FRANKLIN—Shirley Williams Thode, 70, widow of Charles William “Chuck” Thode, passed away April 20, 2012.

Shirley was a daughter of the late Livius N. and Mildred Parke Williams.

She was a graduate of Southampton High School and Radford University, and was a retired hospital computer programmer.

Survivors include two stepdaughters, Deborah Bradley and Gail Shilling; two brothers, David M. Williams and Bruce P. Williams; and seven grandchildren.

The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at Wright Funeral Home with Rev. Rita Kanten officiating. Burial will follow at Rosemont Cemetery.
