IVOR—Sherry Ray Holt Pickens, 69, widow of Keith Arlan Pickens Sr., passed away April 19, 2012.

Born in Southampton County, she was a daughter of the late Conrad Norton Holt Sr. and Inez Lowe Holt.

Sherry was a member of the Corinth Friends Meeting and was a former bookkeeper at Holt Metal Products.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Cheryl P. Ellis (Mark) of Suffolk and Murriel “Iney” Holt (James) of Newport News; sons, Keith A. Pickens Jr. of Kentucky and Jason M. Pickens of Cleveland, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Morgan Daughtry, Keith Pickens III, Jason Pickens Jr., Justin Pickens, Andrew Morrison, William Wellons, Jamie Sherrill and Aidan Sherrill; two sisters, Caroline Ellis Tart ( Phil) of Sedley, Jean Galtress (Bill) of Zuni and Conrad N. Holt Jr. (Rachelle) of Java.

She was predeceased by a brother, Merle R. Holt Sr.

A service to celebrate Sherry’s life will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, April 22, 2012, at Corinth Friends Meeting. Amanda Smith, Pastor of Corinth Friends Meeting, will officiate.
