Southampton County native Lucille C. Smith, 78, passed away Friday, April 13, at Lake Taylor Transitional Care Hospital in Norfolk.

Calling hours will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 17, at Fellowship Around the Word at 101 N. High St., Franklin. The funeral will follow at 1 p.m. Burial will be at Mount Tabor Church Cemetery.
