COURTLAND—More than 90 attended Southampton 4-H Livestock Club’s first goat clinic at the Southampton County Fairgrounds.

Participants came from as far as Hampton Roads, Richmond, Amherst and North Carolina.

Professional groomer Jordan Daigle, Purina representative Jackie Whitley and Brittany Richardson with the Farm Service Agency gave presentations.

Mike Holland and Nancy Naigle from the Holland Farm in Drewryville supplied goat burgers and parents provided lunch.

Colonial Farm and Purina donated door prizes.

The second annual event will be held next February.
