FRANKLIN—A Franklin woman was charged with stabbing a man Wednesday at a Virginia Street home.
Sharmise Shequita Fleetwood, 21, of 313 Grove St., Apt. A, is charged with malicious wounding in connection with the attack.
Officers responded to a report of an argument at a residence in the 1200 block of Virginia Street and found Duwane Faulk, 21, of the 300 block of Bruce Street, bleeding profusely from a laceration to his right thigh, said Franklin Police Department spokesman Tim Whitt.
Virginia Street is located south of South Street.
An investigation led to the arrest of Fleetwood, who was being held without bond Thursday in Western Tidewater Regional Jail in Suffolk.
Faulk was treated and released from Southampton Memorial Hospital.
